Women of Fatorda is a brand that manufactures and sells authentic Goan masalas and spices. Through it’s manufacturing activity, the company also supports women Self-Help Groups from the Hindu, Christian, Muslim and Tribal communities of Goa.
The company wanted to develop an ecommerce website that would help them streamline their B2C ordering process. The site had to reflect the company’s ethos, but still be simple enough for shoppers to navigate through easily.
We at Eiosys are not only keen listeners but also we understand and analyse the requirements of our client. In this specific case, the client was amazed because we were converting his abstract thoughts into reality in the form of web pages.
As there are few number of SKUs/products the company offers, we tried working with more content and data to make it relevant. Since the product was a household masala, we conceptualized recipes page and added product videos and step by step dish making tutorial in it.
The ecommerce website of ‘Women of Fatorda’ is built on WordPress technology. It reflects the company’s characteristics, which can be seen throughout their simple yet effective design. For example, the clean and minimalist white background is representative of how the firm strives to offer a friendly service for customers and not bombard them with flashy graphics.
Likewise, the “home page” offers a seamless experience to shoppers by letting them search through their catalog rather than demanding they conform to specific requirements before browsing.
