The management of myopia in children relies greatly on adhering to medication, changing bottles regularly, visiting the doctor regularly, and healthy lifestyle practices. But, parents find it difficult to handle these tasks manually. Missed doses, forgotten appointments, and a lack of clear guidance impacts the effectiveness of treatment.
Entod Pharmaceuticals required a solution that could not only make treatment tracking easier but also inform families about myopia management.
Solution
Entod approached us to develop a mobile application that would simplify appointment reminders and other essential treatment-related activities, making myopia care management hassle free and easy for parents and guardians.
We created the Myatro Smart Medicine Management App, which is a patient-friendly mobile application designed specifically for children with myopia and their parents or guardians. Our goal was to create a trustworthy digital companion that can help in treatment compliance and awareness with a smooth user experience.
We collaborated closely with the experts at Entod Pharma, including professionals actively involved in research and treatment development. The team analyzed clinical studies and treatment protocols associated with the management of myopia in children before designing the application architecture.
After the technical and functional architecture was accepted by the client, we identified the best technology framework that would ensure scalability and maintainability of the mobile application. We chose – Frontend: Flutter | Backend: Firebase (Firestore, Auth, and Cloud Functions)
The application has features such as automatic reminders for Myatro eye drop medication, bottle replacement and disposal reminders, doctor appointment reminders, and professional advice on lifestyle modifications to slow down the progression of myopia. We concentrated on developing the application with simple navigation, easy information hierarchy, and a parent-friendly interface to ensure that the application is user-friendly on a daily basis.
Impact
The Myatro app helps families to deal with myopia in a better way. The app combines medication management with educational support. This makes this app an effective tool for improving medication compliance, promoting regular medical visits, and raising awareness about healthy visual habits.
